FidesCo and RDDC work together year-round to provide dance programming and educational opportunities for street children who have shared their stories and opened their hearts to create this website.
By helping a child go to boarding school, you are securing him a place to sleep, three meals a day, two school uniforms and a proper education. This can be done for as little as $4.38 a day.
Here are some examples of how your money will be used directly in the field to change the lives of these street children:
- $410: 1 trimester of school fees at Sonrise Boarding School
- $150: 1 year of local transportation costs to/from school
- $26.15: 1 mattress for the dormitory
- $20: 1 pair of black shoes
- $7.69: 1 child’s basic health insurance for a year
- $5.54: 3 pairs of flip flops
Every dollar, euro or Rwandan franc that is donated through our secure site goes directly to support the school fees of these children. One hundred percent of the donated funds are spent directly in the field. There is a 9.6% administrative charge for online donations.
